Principia’s field was behind the times compared to other schools the team played against, but thanks to donors like you, Principia’s new press box and seating were installed the spring of 2011, bringing the field up to date.

The new press box provides professional, weatherproof workspaces for the announcer, statistician, scoreboard operator, and PIR broadcasters. Now, during home games, fans can count on play-by-play PIR coverage.

On-campus fans are also cheering because old bleachers and a bare hillside have been replaced with comfortable, stadium-style, flip-down seats. The facility improvements are a significant boost to the overall atmosphere and energy of the baseball program.
